Josh Sain Memorial
Scholarship Recipients

Billy W. Walley, Chairman of the Recognitions Subcommittee, of the National Committee of the Order of the Arrow is pleased to announce the selection of three recipients of the Josh Sain Memorial Scholarship for 2000. This scholarship was established in 1998 to honor the spirit and the memory of Josh Sain, a former National Vice Chief of the Order of the Arrow. The scholarships are provided to former National or Regional Officers upon completion of their successful service of their terms.

The National Committee has agreed to fund $8,500 in scholarships, and the recipients and the amount they will receive include:

William G. Parker will receive the sum of $2,000. He is registered with the Tukabatchee Area Council, Montgomery, Alabama,and the Alibamu. He is presently attending Davidson College and is a sophomore majoring in Political Science. He is the immediate past National Chief of the Order of the Arrow.

Kenneth R. Jenkins will receive the sum of $2,000. He is registered with the Patriots' Path Council, Mountain Side, New Jersey, and the Allemakewink Lodge. He is a junior at University of Rhode Island, majoring in Pharmacy. He is the immediate past Chief of the Northeast Region.

John J. Isley will receive the sum of $2,000. He is registered with the Old North State Council, Greensboro, North Carolina and the Tsoiotsi Tsogalii Lodge. He is a junior at Campbell University, majoring in Graphic Design. He is the immediate past Chief of the Southern Region.

Aaron W. Kreager will receive the sum of $2,000. He is registered with the Mid-America Council, Omaha, Nebraska, and the Kit-Ke-Hak-O-Kut Lodge. He is a sophomore at the Univeristy of Minnesota, majoring in Marketing and Communication. He is the immediate past Chief of the Central Region.

The National Committee congratulates these fine young representatives of the Boy Scouts of America and the Order of the Arrow.
