Patrick Murphy 2005 National Chief
|
National Chief
Patrick Murphy
has been elected as the 2005 National Chief of the Order
of the Arrow. Patrick, age 18, is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor
member of the OA.
He is the Section Chief
of W-4C and is a member of
Wipala Wiki Lodge of the Grand Canyon Council #10.
An Assistant Scoutmaster in Troop 853, he hails from Tempe, AZ.
Patrick attends school at
the Northern Arizona University, where he
is a business major.
Patrick has served as Lodge Chief of his lodge, and worked on
staff for the 2004 and 2002 NOACs, and on NLS staff. He attended
the 2001 National Jamboree, and has been to OA Trail Crew. He
also has been on JLTC staff.
Patrick enjoys playing intramural sports, and is involved
in Student Government.
His favorite hobbies include
Golf, Backpacking, and Hiking.
Asked for his thoughts on being elected national chief,
Patrick replied, "I am honored yet humbled with this opportunity.
I look foward to an amazing year and working with people from around
the country".

Seth Mollitt 2005 National Vice Chief

National Vice Chief
Seth Mollitt
has been elected as the 2005 National
Vice Chief of the Order of the Arrow.
He is the Section Chief of S-4S
and is a member of Echookotee Lodge
of the North Florida Council #87. He comes from
Jacksonville, FL.
Seth, age 19, is an Eagle Scout and a Vigil Honor member of the OA.
He is an assistant Scoutmaster with Troop 35.
He served as Inductions and Ceremonies Events CVC at the 2004 NOAC,
and was on staff for the 2002 NOAC, and 2003 Indian Summer program.
A two-term section chief, Mollitt has served on NLS staff,
and has attended
the OA trail crew. He has worked on summer camp staff, and has
received the Founder's Award.
Seth is attending
the University of Florida
majoring in Business Management.
When not Scouting, he enjoys backpacking, climbing, and camping.
Seth is also active in the
Outreach Ambassador Program, Kappa Sigma Fraternity, and BACC.
Asked for his thoughts on being elected national vice chief,
Seth said,
"I am amazed! I am looking forward to this experience ahead
and the 2005 Jamboree."

Paul Jensen Central Region Chief

Central Region Chief
Paul Jensen, 19,
of Steven, MN, is an
assistant Scoutmaster in troop 41. An Eagle Scout and
Vigil Honor member of Pa-Hin Lodge, Northern Lights
Council #429, Jensen is a student at the
University of Minnesota, majoring in Biomedical Engineering.
Paul is Section Chief of C-1A, and has also been a multi-term
Lodge Chief.
He served on staff for the 2004 and 2002 NOACs, and attended
the 2000 NOAC. He has also been on NLS staff.
Paul likes football, track & field, and basketball.
In his spare time, he enjoys canoeing, hunting, and motocyle riding.
He is active in the Minnesota
Solar Vehicle Project.
After being elected,
Paul said
"I feel honored to work with such a great group of section chiefs,
and hope I am able to continue the success of the Central Region".

Dan O'Rourke Northeast Region Chief

Northeast Region Chief
An Eagle Scout in Troop 359, Dan O'Rourke , 18, is a
Vigil Honor member of Allogogan Lodge,
Pioneer Valley Council #234, and lives in Wilbraham, MA.
He serves as section chief of NE-1B. A past lodge chief,
Dan participated in the 2004
NOAC, the OA Wilderness Voyage, and the 2001 Jamboree. He has
served on NLS staff for his region.
As a Business major
at Stonehill College, O'Rourke enjoys
running, skiing, camping, web design, debating, and intramural
volleyball.
He is involved with the ski club and outing club.
Asked for thoughts on his new role, he said
"I am excited to have the opportunity to serve the region and
the Order this year. I am looking forward to a successfull
year."

Bradley Long Southern Region Chief

Southern Region Chief
From Pulaski, VA, nineteen year-old Bradley Long
is a Vigil Honor member of Tutelo Lodge of the
Blue Ridge Mountains Council #599.
He is an Eagle Scout from Troop 249, where he serves
as an assistant Scoutmaster.
Bradley is the section chief for S-7A. He has served as lodge
chief, and on NLS staff. He has attended the 2004 and 2000 NOACs,
and worked five years on summer camp staff.
Long, a Bible & Religion / Spanish major at King College, enjoys
drama, choir, ultimate frisbee, and intramural sports.
When asked
about the year ahead, he noted:
"I am honored and humbled to be amoung such great company as my
fellow officers. I believe this honor was only possible for me
because of the leader the Order of the Arrow has created in me.
I am very excited and look forward to the coming year."

Ross Armstrong Western Region Chief

Western Region Chief
Ross Armstrong , 19,
hails from Reno, NV, where he is an
assistant Scoutmaster in troop 152. An Eagle Scout and
Vigil Honor member of Tannu Lodge, Nevada Area
Council #329, Armstrong is a student at the
University of Nevada - Reno
where he is majoring in Economics.
He is section chief for W-3B.
Ross served on staff for the 2004 NOAC, and on NLS staff.
He participated in the 2002 and 2000 NOACs,
the OA Wilderness Voyage, and the OA Trail Crew.
In his spare time, he enjoys
music, photography, skiing, and golf.
After being elected,
Ross said "This will be an exciting adventure that will require
the acculmulation of my time in Scouting and in the OA. I know
this will be a year of great accomplishment for the Western
Region as our vision is clear and our determination high."
