Closing Comments from the NOAC Live! ChairmanAs NOAC draws to a close, we remember the reasons we came out to Iowa: fellowship, training, service, inspiration, and fun. These are all elements of a successful NOAC, and all were present here at NOAC 2004. As a web team, we tried our best to provide complete coverage of the entire conference for people who were unable to attend. But our pages take on a new life after NOAC- they help us all to remember our experiences here at Iowa State. Whether it was our first NOAC (for 3,078 Arrowmen, it was) or our 20th NOAC, these few days will serve as a testament to the ties of brotherhood in the Order. This conference was special for the web team because we returned to the place where NOAC Live! first started back in 1998 under the leadership of Doug Kupec and Joe Glenski. Over the past six years, so many things have changed: the site has been redesigned, technologies have improved, and staff comes and goes. Two things have remained constant: the purpose of the web site--to share the NOAC experience with those unable to be here--and the dedication of our staff. I would personally like to thank the 18 members of the web staff for all of their hard work, long hours, and dedication to ensuring NOAC's success. My team has worked tirelessly without much public recognition. They have written over 120 articles with more than 50,000 words. The web staff alone took over 6,000 photos- nearly 5 gigabytes of images. They have searched high and low for events that were sometimes hard to find or were moved. Our contingent t-shirts may wear out and our new handbooks may get replaced, but the memories of this conference will remain with us forever. Thank you for sharing them with us.
Yours in Brotherhood,
