span>Welcome to the National Conservation and Leadership Summit at the University of Indiana in Bloomington. The upcoming week will follow a very unique sequence of events aimed at improving leadership strategies, environmental awareness, and preparations for the Order’s ArrowCorps5 initiative of 2008.

In the pre−Ordeal ceremony Meteu reminds us of our Order’s love for nature and its mysteries. Our Order has never lost sight of this mantra; rather, quite the opposite is the case. Our partnership with the U.S. Forest Service through ArrowCorps5 is critical to preserve the natural habitats we have come to treasure. This conference will not only teach Arrowmen how to implement the ArrowCorps5 program, but will also offer important resources on ways to implement environmental conservation initiatives in our local Scout councils and across the nation.

More than that, this Summit is a chance for Arrowmen to make friendships with one another and learn more about the true beauty of Scouting. As Arrowmen we share a vision that unites us in Brotherhood; a vision to constantly improve ourselves and the lives of those around us in selfless service. We are leaders in our families and in our communities year round and have come together this week to share what we know.

During these next few days we also urge you to take advantage of all the recreational activities that are offered across the campus and enjoy your stay in Indiana. Once again, welcome.
