Wal-La-Moot-Kin Lodge Service Project
The Blue Mountain Council's Camp Wallowa near Joseph, Oregon is currently undergoing a facelift thanks to the members of Wal-La-Moot-Kin Lodge, and a service grant issued by the National Order of the Arrow Committee.
Lodge members have been working hard to repair the shower house, and the camp's A-frame cabins. Some of the projects include roof repairs, window replacement, porch stair replacement, and the removal of internal walls to create larger spaces, allowing for more activities.
Much of the construction is being done by youth members of Wal-La-Moot-Kin Lodge, under the supervision of trained adult volunteers, allowing for the Arrowmen involved to learn about various areas of construction.
While much of the construction is nearing its completion, Wal-La-Moot-Kin Lodge has no intention of stopping the work. They continue to work on camp improvements and repairs at each of their lodge events.
