July 21st, Day Fifteen - Leave for Home
At six in the morning I was awoken for the last time in Minnesota. The crew got together with our foremen Andy and Vern for the last time during breakfast. Andy and Vern gave everyone in our crew this CD which had contact information from everyone on staff and in my crew, along with photos of each of us. We said our goodbyes to our foremen and got on the yellow school bus that took us to the airport. Everyone who had a beard, including me, kept it to show off to people at home. We arrived at the airport that afternoon, only to see the new set of participants waiting at the airport. Clean shaven and well kept, they were excited and tired from their flights. It seemed so long ago when I too was in their very shoes. Not knowing exactly what to expect. Not even thinking about how much I would change in these two weeks. As I passed them, I said " Hi," as I dragged my bag (now heavier) and showed off my beard and tan. I said my goodbyes to my crew mates, and took my long flight home. << Introduction - < Previous Day - Post Voyage >>
