2013 Innovation Award

The National Order of the Arrow Innovation Award seeks to recognize chapters and lodges for their efforts in improving our program and provides a means to chronicle the best ideas, promoting and sharing them nationwide as "best practices." Petitions are due by December 31, 2013. The petition is available here in the Forms Section.

2014 Conclave Training Initiative

The 2014 Conclave Training Initiative material is now available. Sections are encouraged to download the latest material for use in upcoming conclaves.

2014 Josh Sain Memorial Scholarship Recipients

The National Order of the Arrow Committee is pleased to announce the recipients of the Josh Sain Memorial Scholarship for 2014. 

2014 Lodge Charter Renewal and Journey To Excellence

The Lodge Charter Renewal and Journey to Excellence (JTE) Instructions and Workbook are now available. This year the charter and JTE petitions have been combined into a single form for lodges to submit. Lodges have the option of submitting their petitions in 2013 through either OA LodgeMaster or via e-mail.

Matt Dukeman selected as new OA Team Specialist

On September 15, Matt Dukeman began his service as the Order of the Arrow's fifth OA Specialist. Dukeman is responsible for working with the following national subcommittees: Development, Region and Section Operations, Outdoor Adventures, and Recognition, Awards, History and Preservation. "I believe Matt is a great addition to the national staff. He has a great OA background that will help him in his new assignment," said Clyde Mayer, OA director.

National Bulletin - Fall 2013 Edition

The Fall 2013 National Bulletin is now available. This edition includes highlights and a photo spread of the 2013 National Scout Jamboree, an Arrowman is recognized with the Boy Scouts of America's Honor Medal, the Maury Clancy Indian Campership Fund, and local news from around the nation! Clyde Mayer has seen many changes in his 22 years as the OA director. As his tenure comes to an end with his retirement in late 2015 Mayer is reflecting on the past and his final NOAC as director.

Social Media Policy Revised

During the December 2011 National Planning Meeting, the national committee approved a resolution that set a new standard for Order of the Arrow social media use, overturning the restrictive social media policy announced in the 08-5 Operations Update. The new resolution has three points that must be met before a social media presence may be created.

The New Brotherhood Ceremony

The Next OA Associate Director Announced
