Journey to Excellence Program
When the Boy Scouts of America launched the new strategic plan, a transition
was made to a new program to measure unit, district, and council performance. Following
the Boy Scout's transition, the national OA committee adopted the Journey to Excellence
program to replace the National Quality Lodge program. Journey to Excellence (JTE)
places emphasis on continuous improvement. Just as the Boy Scouts of America Journey
to Excellence program recognizes each level of the organization (Unit, District,
Council), the OA's program creates Journey to Excellence recognition for chapters,
lodges, and sections.

2013 Chapter Journey to Excellence (JTE)
The assessment of the OA Chapter Performance Recognition Program is managed by the lodge that authorizes and oversees the chapter's work. It also needs to be coordinated with the chapter Staff Adviser and district committee and/or district executive. Follow your lodge's submission deadlines and procedures.
2013 Section Journey to Excellence (JTE)
To be aligned with the BSA and to capitalize on this best practice used in the corporate performance measurement field today, the Order of the Arrow adopted the Journey to Excellence format to evaluate section performance and evaluate opportunities for continuous improvement.
