Q/A: My old lodge does not exist anymore

Q: I was elected to OA as a Scout many years ago. I am now becoming active as a Scouter in another council. I tried to contact my old council and lodge, and to my surprise, they no longer exist! The city I used to live in is now listed as being in an entirely different council and lodge, ones that I don't remember. What happened?

A: Many councils and lodges have merged or changed names during the past decade. It is not unusual. Other aspects of the Order have also changed over the years, so you may want to get a new OA Handbook to find out the current information.
